That has a nice ring to it don’t you think??

With all the obnoxious presidential candidate non-sense (debates, commercials, interviews, etc.), I can’t help but think about myself as president. It’s ridiculous, I know, but I am convinced I have some great platforms and ideas that people would get behind. Here’s just a few things I would implement as President:

Overtime would simply be illegal. I am 100% certain that this would help employee morale.  Additionally, I think this would help people really determine what is important and what is busy work (you know some of what you do is just busy work…)

You’re under 18? No Facebook for you little friend!  There is simply no reason that you should parade yourself around at such a young age, or trash talk, or anything of the other crap that goes on… (plus you look better in a bikini that me most likely so I don’t want it in my newsfeed.)

Oh, under 16?  No cell phone for you!  This really would help everyone out. Your parents wouldn’t have to take your phone away to check your texts, you wouldn’t be able to send inappropriate texts, you wouldn’t annoy everyone around you near as much, and there would be fewer ugly phone cases around because they wouldnt tailor designs to you. 

(Oh, look at that!  We just ended bullying and sexting all in one swoops. Easy peasy! Back on track now…)

Anything with more than 3-5 ingredients at the grocery store would be eliminated.  We eat WAY too much processed foods, and things with ingredients that we can’t even pronounce.

(Obesity? This seems to be a sure fire way to help with the obesity we see here in the States.) 

All HS Seniors and/or college freshman would be forced to take a course on the importance of saving money.  They would also take a course on career paths and what they really want to do (this would include the median income of each path, the probability of getting a job in said field, etc.).

(Debt crisis? Not cured, but it would help because people would learn about finances rather than thrown out there to figure it out ending in mass amount of debt.)

If a student complete college in a reasonable amount of time, their “student debt” would be erased.  Think of it as a reward for finishing!  I feel rather strongly about student loans (they suck because you’re paying them off for years after you complete school), but I truly think that one think that can’t be taken away from you is education and that it is truly important. Many people don’t attend and live up to their potential because of money. So, if we rewarded them by erasing that debt, life would be better post degree. 

Immigrants would be required to learn English… and use that as their primary language.  I really don’t like not knowing what people are talking about, or not being able to communicate with people due to a language barrier.

Punishment would be based on the eye for eye policy. If you stab someone, you should be stabbed. If you rape someone, you should be raped. Uf you kill someone, you should be killed. It’s harsh, I know, but I really think that people need to know what it feels like. 

I would do away with unemployment unless you were . If I have to work my butt off, then so should everyone else. I think sometimes unemployment enables people to be lazy. 

Everyone would volunteer at least one hour a week. Why? Because everyone should be giving back to society. If helps you, it helps others. I don’t see what the problem is here.  

Skinny jean on males would be banned.  It’s not that I don’t like the look, but if this doesn’t stop soon, I fear the world population may decrease.  You know good and well those jeans are cutting something off below the belt. 

That’s all I’ve got for now, but I’m sure I’ll think of others and hop right back on my soap box…. thoughts??
